Established in 2013, Thai Kani was founded by Miriam Mitropolous Gathercole and Thanakrit Silasome , two friends who shared a passion for Thai and Japanese food and with the heart of the experience anchored in a passion for great customer service. I always go here for drinks or dinner and I have never been disappointed. Their service is one of the best in the city.
Since Thai Kani moved to the slipway, I’ve visited the place a lot more. It’s nice to take guest to the slipway and give them a choice between Thai food and the waterfront.
Thai Kani remains one of my favorites, from the time of the casual-family location to the new Slipway sea view. Staff switched on and management real friendly and welcoming. A must visit when in Dar es Salaam!
I had the vegetarian pad Thai – it was delicious, vegetables were fresh, cooked perfectly. The waitress was courteous, helpful. Overall, a good experience.
